House Speaker Paul Ryan told Jake Tapper on CNN that he’s not ready to support Donald Trump. Maybe he’s not happy that he wasn’t able to snatch the nomination – the nomination that he claimed he didn’t want – at the convention. But given the fact that Ryan is largely despised among conservatives this might actually help Trump.
Ryan said, “Well, uh, to be perfectly candid with you, Jake, I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now. And, I hope to though. And I want to but I think that what is required is that we unify this party. And I think the bulk of the burden to unify the party will come from the presumptive nominee.”
Big deal, Paul. Most Republicans don’t support your agenda of open borders, Common Core, Obamacare, and irresponsible Omnibus Budgets that saddle our children with unsustainable debt. Nobody likes his hectoring lectures or duplicity either. This is a guy who campaigns like Ronald Reagan and governs like Nancy Pelosi.

Trump Sets Fire To Smug Paul Ryan
Donald Trump is having none of Ryan’s games. He’s the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party and as such the leader of the Party. He responded as such.
Paul Ryan’s agenda is the antithesis of the Trump agenda – it’s Boehner 2.0. And the Trump agenda won at the ballot box. It’s time for Republicans to look for a conservative Speaker whose agenda is in line with that of the American people.
