Donald Trump’s landslide victories last week and his big win in Indiana have done nothing to change John Kasich’s plans to snatch the nomination from the man with the most delegates, votes, and momentum at the convention in Cleveland. Senator Ted Cruz dropped out after a distant second place finish in Indiana, seeing no path to victory. Kasich has won just 1 primary in his home state of Ohio and currently trails Marco Rubio, who dropped out nearly 2 months ago, by 18 delegates. But neither his impressive string of losses nor the fact that most people don’t know he’s running have dampened Kasich’s hunger for victory.
His campaign strategist, John Weaver, explains, “Tonight’s results are not going to alter Gov. Kasich’s campaign plans. Our strategy has been and continues to be one that involves winning the nomination at an open convention.” He went on to suggest that Kasich had come away from Indiana a winner because he had potentially secured a few delegates who will support him at “a multi-ballot convention.”
Speaking of hungry, why does Kasich like to talk to reporters with his mouth full?
Kasich Running Mate Jimmy McMillan
We’re not breaking any news here, but we have a suggestion for Kasich, as he must certainly be looking for a running mate.
Jimmy McMillan. He could be the guy who helps put Kasich over the top because, as we all know, the rent really is too…damn…high.
Also, John Kasich’s father was a mailman. Thought you should know. He rarely mentions it.
